ADEN provides quality professional development in dance education for Auckland teachers, based on the New Zealand Curriculum. ADEN provides a network of support for teachers teaching dance in Auckland schools. ADEN is also the voice of Auckland teachers of dance.

ADEN achieves its aims through:

• Presenting practical workshops - Material can be easily used or adapted for the classroom
• Focusing workshops on the four strands of the dance curriculum
